35 - Faatir (The Originator) / 1 Next Verse
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُولِي أَجْنِحَةٍ مَثْنَىٰ وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ ۚ يَزِيدُ فِي الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌِ
Alhamdu lillahi fatiri alssamawati waalardi jaAAili almalaikati rusulan olee ajnihatin mathna wathulatha warubaAAa yazeedu fee alkhalqi ma yashao inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin qadeerun
  • ٱلۡحَمۡدُ
    All praises
  • لِلَّهِ
    (be) to Allah,
  • فَاطِرِ
    Creator
  • ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ
    (of) the heavens
  • وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ
    and the earth,
  • جَاعِلِ
    (Who) makes
  • ٱلۡمَلَـٰٓٮِٕكَةِ
    the Angels
  • رُسُلاً
    messengers
  • أُوْلِىٓ أَجۡنِحَةٍ۬
    having wings
  • مَّثۡنَىٰ
    two
  • وَثُلَـٰثَ
    or three
  • وَرُبَـٰعَۚ
    or four.
  • يَزِيدُ
    He increases
  • فِى
    in
  • ٱلۡخَلۡقِ
    the creation
  • مَا
    what
  • يَشَآءُۚ
    He wills.
  • إِنَّ
    Indeed,
  • ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
  • عَلَىٰ
    (is) on
  • كُلِّ
    every
  • شَىۡءٍ۬
    thing
  • قَدِيرٌ۬
    All-Powerful.
Abdel Haleem : Praise be to God, Creator of the heavens and earth, who made angels messengers with two, three, four [pairs of] wings. He adds to creation as He will: God has power over everything.
Ahmed Ali : The praise/gratitude (is) to God creator/originator (of) the skies/space and the earth/Planet Earth, making/creating/manipulating the angels (as) messengers (owners) of wings/sides two two/twos, and three/threes, and fours, He increases in the creation what He wills/wants, that truly God (is) on every thing capable/able.
Muhammad Ahmed - Samira : ALL PRAISE BE to God, the originator of the heavens and the earth, who appointed angels as His messengers, with wings, two, three and four. He adds what He pleases to His creation. He has certainly power over everything.
Aisha Bewley : Praise be to Allah, the Bringer into Being of the heavens and earth, He who made the angels messengers, with wings – two, three or four. He adds to creation in any way He wills. Allah has power over all things.

Amatul Rahman Omar : All kind of true and perfect praise belongs to Allâh, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, Who employs as (His) messengers the angels, having two or three or four pairs of wings (and so possessed of powers, speed and qualities in varying degrees). He adds to the creation (of these wings and thus to the powers and abilities of the angels) as much as He will (in accordance with the importance of the work entrusted to each one of them), for Allâh is Possessor of power over (His) every desired thing.

Bijan Moeinian : Praiseworthy is God Who is the Originator of the universe. Lord has created Angles with the mean of flying (wing) throughout the universe in charge of managing His Kingdom’s affairs. Some Angles are created with two wings, some have three and some four means of flying. God expands His Universe of Creation as much as He desires.

[Al-Muntakhab] : Praise be to Allah and extolled are His glorious attributes Who has generated the heavens and the earth and designated the angels as envoys furnished with pairs of wings in sets of two, three and four. He adds, joins or unites one thing to another at creation so as to increase the number, the size or the importance of a given created being or beings as He will Allah is indeed Qadirun (Omnipotent) over all things
[Progressive Muslims] : Praise be to God, Initiator of the heavens and the Earth; maker of the Angels as messengers with wings in two's, and three's, and four's. He increases in the creation as He wishes. God is able to do all things.
Shabbir Ahmed : All Praise is due to Allah, the Originator of all Highs and their Lows, Who appoints His angels as message-bearers having wings two, three and four. (Many of the angels, the physical laws in the Universe, have more than one function). He increases in creation what He Will. For, Allah is the Appointer of due measure of all things, and He is Able to do all things.
