58 - Al-Mujaadila (The Pleading Woman) / 1 Next Verse
قَدْ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ قَوْلَ الَّتِي تُجَادِلُكَ فِي زَوْجِهَا وَتَشْتَكِي إِلَى اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ يَسْمَعُ تَحَاوُرَكُمَا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌِ
Qad samiAAa Allahu qawla allatee tujadiluka fee zawjiha watashtakee ila Allahi waAllahu yasmaAAu tahawurakuma inna Allaha sameeAAun baseerun
  • قَدۡ
    Indeed,
  • سَمِعَ ٱللَّهُ
    Allah has heard
  • قَوۡلَ
    (the) speech
  • ٱلَّتِى
    (of) one who
  • تُجَـٰدِلُكَ
    disputes with you
  • فِى
    concerning
  • زَوۡجِهَا
    her husband
  • وَتَشۡتَكِىٓ
    and she directs her complaint
  • إِلَى
    to
  • ٱللَّهِ
    Allah.
  • وَٱللَّهُ
    And Allah
  • يَسۡمَعُ
    hears
  • تَحَاوُرَكُمَآ‌ۚ
    (the) dialogue of both of you.
  • إِنَّ
    Indeed,
  • ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
  • سَمِيعُۢ
    (is) All-Hearer,
  • بَصِيرٌ
    All-Seer.
Abdel Haleem : God has heard the words of the woman who disputed with you [Prophet] about her husband and complained to God: God has heard what you both had to say. He is all hearing, all seeing.
Ahmed Ali : God had heard (the) statement/declaration/saying (of) who argues/disputes with you in (about) her husband and she complains to God, and God hears/listens (to) your (B)'s discussion/debate, that truly God (is) hearing/listening/seeing/knowing .
Muhammad Ahmed - Samira : GOD CERTAINLY HEARD what the woman who argued with you about her husband, said, and complained to God; and God heard your interrogation. Verily God hears all, and sees everything.
Aisha Bewley : Allah has heard the words of the woman who disputes with you about her husband and lays her complaint before Allah. Allah hears the two of you talking together. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
Ali Quli Qara'i : Allah has certainly heard the speech of her who pleads with you about her husband and complains to Allah. Allah hears the conversation between the two of you. Indeed Allah is all-hearing, all-seeing.
Ali Ünal : God has indeed heard (and accepted) the words of the woman who pleads with you concerning her husband and refers her complaint to God. God hears the dialogue between you. Surely God is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
Amatul Rahman Omar : Allâh has indeed heard the plea of her (- Khoulah wife of Aus bin Sâmit) who pleads with you (O Muhammad!) with regard to her husband and makes her complaint to Allâh (seeking His help). Allâh has heard both of you conversing together. Verily, Allâh is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

Muhammad Sarwar : God has certainly heard the words of the woman who disputed with you about her husband and who (after not having received a favorable response from you) complained to God. God was listening to your argument. He is All-hearing and All-aware.

[Al-Muntakhab] : Allah has heard the allegation of the woman who has reported her husband to you as having wronged her, and urges a prayer appealing to Allah for mercy. Allah hears the series of statements by both of you intended to establish an edict. Allah is Sami'un and Bassirun (hears and sees all in all).
[Progressive Muslims] : God has heard the woman who has argued with you regarding her husband, and she complained to God. And God hears the argument between you. God is Hearer, Seer.
Shabbir Ahmed : Allah has indeed heard her who pleads with you (O Prophet) concerning her husband, and complains unto Allah. And Allah has heard your mutual dialogue. Verily, Allah is Hearer, Seer.
Shakir : Allah indeed knows the plea of her who pleads with you about her husband and complains to Allah, and Allah knows the contentions of both of you; surely Allah is Hearing, Seeing.
Sher Ali : ALLAH has, indeed, heard the talk of her who pleads with thee concerning her husband, and complains unto ALLAH. And ALLAH has heard the two of you conversing together. Verily, ALLAH is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.
Syed Vickar Ahamed : Indeed, Allah has heard (and accepted) the cries of the woman (Khaulah bint Thalabah) who pleads with you about her husband (Aus bin As-Samit) and brings her complaint (in prayer) to Allah; And Allah (always) hears the arguments between both sides among you: For Allah is All Hearing (Sami'), All Seeing (Baseer, of all things).
Umm Muhammad (Sahih International) : Certainly has Allah heard the speech of the one who argues with you, [O Muúammad], concerning her husband and directs her complaint to Allah . And Allah hears your dialogue; indeed, Allah is Hearing and Seeing.
Yusuf Ali : Allah has indeed heard (and accepted) the statement of the woman who pleads with thee concerning her husband and carries her complaint (in prayer) to Allah: and Allah (always) hears the arguments between both sides among you: for Allah hears and sees (all things).
